Bio:
Michael Ryan Laglia was born in the early eighties in the San Francisco Bay Area. The son of an astronaut and one of the world's only female chess Grandmasters, it seemed to all who were watching that he was destined for greatness. Instead, he has gone on to become a composer of electronic music that spans many genres. Growing up in a cultural melting pot has infused his output with a constant sense of exploration and a penchant for genre-hopping. Helping to tie it all together is a feeling of polish and dexterity built over his time at Boston's renowned Berklee College of Music, where he was mercilessly flogged in the art and science of digital audio, as well as the finer points of music composition. His audio engineering experience includes the Boston Pops, credited engineer/mixer on the independent classical release "Oral Moses Sings....Songs of America," as well as work with legendary producer / engineer George Massenburg. He is currently at work completing his debut effort, and is garnering attention through new media placements and web videos.
